Phone & Voice Features
At the core of Cisco’s Collaboration solution is a rock-solid reliable phone system. All of the standard features expected in a phone system are included: advanced call routing, auto attendants, voicemail, ad-hoc conferencing, customized music-on-hold, call queuing, hunt groups, call forwarding, call park, speed-dial, and much more.
- Single Number Reach : The option to ring your cell phone simultaneously with your desk phone – answer your calls anywhere.
- Dial-by-Name: The integrated voice activated dial-by-name directory allows your clients to find the person they are looking for with ease.
- MeetMe Bridges: Dial-in voice conference bridges offer a convenient way to host multi-party calls.
Cisco Jabber is a software collaboration client that offers instant messaging, presence, voice, video, file sharing, screen sharing, and more. Available for Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android, it provides the ability to communicate from anywhere.
Cisco has integrated video capabilities throughout their Collaboration solution. Video is available from all of the Jabber clients (including mobile), Webex, select desk phones, as well as conference-room sized Telepresence systems. It is estimated that 93% of human communication is non-verbal. High quality video conferencing can significantly improve the accuracy of communication.
Cisco Webex is an online meeting platform which offers voice, video, screen sharing, content presentation, chat, and more. With clients available for Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android a meeting can take place from anywhere. Integration with Outlook and Cisco Jabber provide an easy way to schedule and launch meetings.
Never miss a voicemail again with Cisco Unified Messaging – receive your messages in your email, through Jabber, or even as a SMS notification. Inbox synchronization keeps your inbox uniform across all of your devices – delete a message in one place, it will be removed from all of them.
Optional voicemail transcription provides voicemail to text capability. An enhanced version is available which features human-verified transcriptions for maximum accuracy. This is offered as a yearly subscription service.

SWICKtech Case Study
Cisco Unified Communications Deployment
A manufacturing lab located in Franklin Wisconsin, had an extremely unstable existing phone system with inefficient support. SWICKtech’s CCNP Voice Certified Senior Network Systems Engineer recommended a Cisco Unified Communications solution as a replacement. SWICKtech Engineers were able to implement this new phone system of 75+ phones including video and pagers with NO phone outages. This was seamlessly accomplished by integrating the new phone system with the old system and migrating employees one at a time.

Video Conference Calling
A local Manufacturing client was utilizing GoTo Meetings for Video Conference Calling to meet regularly with their second business site. The quality of the video and audio between the two sites was poor. They reached out to their local Managed Service Provider in Milwaukee, SWICKtech, for further assistance. Our Cisco Voice Engineers recommended and implemented a new Cisco Telepresence solution to fix the poor audio / video.
